Indianapolis Colts NFL Trade and Roster Rumors: Andrew Luck's Agent Denies He Wants to Leave

The Indianapolis Colts need Andrew Luck back on the field as soon as possible if they want to win games this year. The veteran quarterback is still recovering from shoulder surgery and he's going to miss their match against Arizona Cardinals this Sunday.

But while he's on the sidelines, the rumor mill has continued to churn and there's a new report claiming that Luck may not be a member of the Colts for long.

During an appearance on the "Mike and Mike" show on Wednesday, ESPN's Mike Greenberg said there's a "general sense" around the league that the quarterback is unhappy with the Colts and he wants to leave. However, Luck's agent, Will Wilson, has denied that Luck has asked for a trade.

"Quite simply and succinctly, there's no truth to that comment at all. Andrew did a long-term deal and he did it for a reason: He wants to be with the Colts and he's committed to the Colts. It's as simple as that. He looks forward to the opportunity to play when he's ready. He wants to get out there when he's ready, obviously. He's just going through rehab; it's the process he's going through," Wilson told WTHR-TV.

Wilson also sent out a statement to ESPN saying, "Any rumor/speculation about Andrew being disgruntled with the Colts or wanting a trade is simply not true."

Greenberg would later clarify that he was only speculating, but his comment made people think about the possibility. In fact, some observers believe Luck should really leave since the Colts are on a downward spiral.

His former coach, current Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians, has also suggested that Luck's growth as a football player might have been stunted because of the Colts' inability to surround him with a capable supporting cast.

Arians may have a point. However, Luck signed a six-year contract to stay in Indianapolis last summer and he's probably not going anywhere unless he forces a trade.
