iOS 7.1.2 Release Date Coming Soon
The iOS 7.1.2 release date is coming soon as Apple is reportedly working on rolling it out in the near future.
Various devices running this slightly updated software started showing up on MacRumors pages at the end of last week. The activity is not too high which means it could still be in the early stages of testing.
The update is expected to focus on bug fixes and other tweaks. It probably will not be put through a developer testing period, according to the site.
The two main issues that seem to be plaguing users at the moment include problems with email attachment encryption and glitches with iMessage users. Apple promised to fix both of these problems.
The iMessage issue stems from users losing messages when they switch away from the iPhone to a different device and not having their phone numbers disassociated from iMessage. It has gotten worse recently due to server problems.
iOS 7.1.2 should be the build to correct these issues as it will be the first software upgrade to roll out since Apple promised to correct the problems.
Apple is expected to unveil iOS 8 at this year's World Wide Developers Conference during the June 2 keynote. Builds of the new software should be available around that time. The official public roll out will take place when the new iPhone is introduced. The device is rumored for a fall launch, but there has also been murmurings of it hitting the market during the summer.
iOS 7 featured a completely redesigned layout for the software and brought Apple up to date with its most fierce competitor, Android. iOS 8 is rumored to be bringing new music identification software to devices that is currently being developed by Apple and Shazam.
