iPad 3 Price Information Revealed

The iPad 3 is set to be unveiled in just 2 days and tech site 9to5Mac reported that its prices will be the same as the iPad 2's.

"We've gotten word that iPad pricing is going to be the same across the board as the current iPad 2 models which should be no big surprise give Apple's history- they rarely raise prices," wrote the site. "Even better, some countries with currencies doing better than the U.S. dollar should expect to see marginal drops in prices."

A rumor surfaced last week stating that U.S. prices for the iPad 3 would increase by $70-$80, but according to 9to5Mac, that report was inaccurate.

The site also reports that the configurations appear to be the same as the current 16, 32, or 64GB iPads. Apple offers three different models in both Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi and 3G with Verizon or AT&T.

Their prices are as follows. For Wi-Fi iPads, the 16GB version is priced at $499, the 32GB at $599.99 and the 64GB goes for $699.00. The Wi-Fi+3G model start at $629.00 for the 16GB version, the 32GB goes for $729.00 and the 64GB is at $829.00.

The iPad 3 prices will mostly likely remain the same when it is released in the coming weeks.

The highly anticipated Apple tablet is set to be unveiled in just three days at a media event hosted by the company.

In terms of service, the iPad 3 is rumored to be a 4G LTE device so 3G will fall out of the equation. Verizon and AT&T currently have the largest LTE networks on the market. This will also made the next-generation iPad the company's first LTE device.

The iPad 3 is also rumored to have a newly designed Retina display along with Apple's A6 chip that will feature quad-core processing speeds.
