One of the rumors about the upcoming model of iPhone smartphones is that Apple will be dropping its standard numbered naming system. Instead of calling it the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7s, we could be seeing a new name under "iPhone Pro".

Over the years, we've seen that besides from the prevailing features, the latest models would normally contain improved camera and processors as well as an upgrade to its physical design.

Apple should also continue to release two versions of the iPhone - meaning that the market should be expecting an iPhone 7 and an iPhone 7 plus later in this year. Also take note that Apple already said they're planning on sticking with the 4.7 -inch and 5.5 -inch screen sizes. So I guess we won't be having to resort back to the old, portable pocket-friendly design Apple used to make.

Smartphone Body/Design

Details on Apple finalizing the body of its latest model is scarce but rumor has it that the iPhone 7 contains the same general shape as with the iPhone 6s but with a camera protruding less. Also, antenna bands have been removed across the back section but are still to be expected to remain at the top, bottom and the lateral sides of the phone.

There are also some rumors that say Apple is trying its best to aim for a slicker and thinner iPhones. This may lead to the removal of the 3.5mm headphone jack but there's also a rumor that says the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus will retain the same thickness as its predecessor.

Also, we are expecting for improved and more powerful specs, including next generation A10 processors manufactured by TSMC.

Lastly, there are hints that suggest that Apple is finally upgrading its minimum storage capacity from 15 to 32 GB. The news were taken from an IHS Technology analyst whose source have seem to confirm the rumor that Apple is finally increasing the amount of storage on all newer iPhone models.
