iZombie Season 2 Release Date, Spoilers News; New Character, Episode Details Revealed
The brand new season of "iZombie" is a couple of days away and fans of the new series are genuinely excited for its return despite its lackluster performance last season.
The new season will introduce a new character. Actor and former basketball star Rick Fox will play a retired basketball star named Calvin Owens. His character was one of the last people to see Harry Cole alive. Harry Cole is a gambler who was murdered in front of Clive at the King County Courthouse steps. Clive and Liv meet Calvin at the wake of Harry Cole. Fox said that he is thrilled to be joining this great ensemble.
The title of the pilot episode is "Grumpy Old Liv" and the synopsis reads Liv consumes the brains of a cantankerous old man to help gain insight into his death. After receiving an anonymous call on the tipster hotline, Liv and Clive stop by the residence of Byron Thistlewaite (guest star Adam Rose), to question the mysterious caller. Meanwhile, Ravi suspects that Major might be experiencing a side effect of the cure, and Liv pays Blaine a surprise visit.

In the upcoming season Blaine will have a new business that will be revealed in the first episode. In the meantime, things will still be tense between Liv and Major as well as other members of her family.
Executive Producer Rob Thomas spoke about the forthcoming season. He said that Liv's mom is looking for explanations as to why Liv did not donate blood to her brother and that Liv is in a really dark place but she takes comfort in her work. He added that Major has a different mission that is much bigger which will also be revealed in the pilot episode.
Furthermore, he added that Major will be avoiding Liv but Liv will not be avoiding him and that they will both date other people in the next season. Ravi, on the other hand, will be looking for some of his tainted Utopium from the boat party in order to make more of the cure which will have some side effects. Clive will be trying to figure out what really happened at Meat Cute and the fans will get to meet Liv's dad.
"iZombie" will premiere on October 6.
