'Jane The Virgin' Season 2 Finale Spoilers: Series Star Teases Cliffhanger Finale

The most awaited moment fans of The CW's hit family drama TV series "Jane The Virgin" may finally be here as the Season 2 finale of the show airs this Monday, May 16. All events are leading to this day but there's no 100% guarantee yet that the titular character and Michael will end up tying the knot, especially that Rafael still has the right to say something about the union.

Justin Baldoni, the star who plays Mateo's dad in the series teases some interesting details about the season-ender "Chapter Forty-Four." For one thing, viewers may get to see some cliffhanger ending.

"Wait until the final moment of the episode," the actor said in an interview with Bustle. "I think the end of Season 2 is better than the end of Season 1, so if there's a way to up the cliffhanger moment, I think they did it."

Followers of the series need not to speculate as to what could possibly take place during the final hour. Baldoni reassures that "it will all be revealed" when the season closes.

However, for the sake of discussion, the media outlet said that this could be something that Rafael will tell Jane. According to Bustle, there's still the possibility that the mother of one still loves Michael and that the feeling "may still be buried deep down inside of her." What it needs is a little bit of honesty and a slight push.

In the promo trailer for the upcoming episode, Rafael can be heard talking to Jane, telling the bride to be that he still loves her and that she should not marry Michael.

Regardless of which, fans will have to find out if Jane will finally be called Mrs. Cordero.

For the meantime, The Futon Critic shares the full synopsis of the Season 2 finale and it reads:

"After moving up the wedding day, Jane (Gina Rodriguez) and Michael (Brett Dier) find all their carefully made plans thrown into chaos. To make matters worse, Jane is unhappy with her current graduate thesis, but changing it might put a wrinkle in her big day. Rafael (Justin Baldoni) still has feelings for Jane, but is torn about whether he should speak now or forever hold his peace. Petra (Yael Grobglas) has her own family drama when Anezka (Yael Grobglas) has a medical emergency and ends up in the hospital. Meanwhile, Rogelio (Jaime Camil) and Xo (Andrea Navedo) are finally coming to terms with the state of their relationship until Xo gets surprising news."
