Michael's (Brett Dier) fate is still hanging in the balance until "Jane the Virgin" Season 3 premieres. After Michael was tragically shot right after his wedding with Jane (Gina Rodriguez), there are a lot of questions whether Michael will be alive or will be gone for good.

Aside from the show writer's account, another post from Andrea Navedo, who portrays the role of Xo in the show, also gives out evidence that Dier will be joining the team as Michael in the third season.

With these posts from the production, it only means that there will be a twist to the story right after Michael's tragic incident.

Jennie Snyder Urman, the show's showrunner and creator, noted in a report that viewers need to wait what Michael's fate will be. She added that the events will eventually unfold right on the first few episodes.

A lot of fans would want Michael and Jane to have the rest of their lives together as a couple and build their own family. However, things went hazy right after the season 2 finale.

Urman also added that Jane's virginity will not be for long. She will give it up once the third season kicks off. She concluded that she did not want the scene for Jane to be giving up her virginity in the finale episode.

At this point, there are reasons to anticipate Michael's return to the show in the third season as seen on the posts from the production team in their Twitter accounts.

Watch the Show on Netflix

The show can be viewed on the CW Network, and aside from that, there will also be a chance to watch the series on the streaming service of Netflix. There has been an agreement between CW Network and Netflix that all CW shows will be available on Netflix eight days after the final episode is aired.

Netflix will be streaming the show next year. For now, the first and second seasons of the show are on Netflix and viewers can view them before the third season premieres.

It has been reported that the second season of the show aired on Netflix right after the deal between the network and the streaming service was concluded.

Season 3 of "Jane the Virgin" will be on October 17, 2016.
