'Jessica Jones' Season 2 Spoilers: Storyline to Dig Up Jessica's Childhood

Jessica's (Krysten Ritter) childhood will be one of the focuses in the upcoming season of "Jessica Jones."

New details of the new installment of the Netflix series have been revealed. According to Comicbook, actress Liz Cappuccino posted a photo of herself while working on a voiceover for her upcoming scenes. She portrayed the young Jessica in the first season. It looks like one of the new storylines will delve deep in the protagonist's teenage years when she and her family were involved in that deadly car crash. Viewers know very little of the accident that made Jessica an orphan. Perhaps, the time has finally come to reveal the mystery surrounding her before her life was turned upside down.

Spoilers indicate that much of Jessica's backstory will be exposed in season 2. More specifically, the fans would like to know how she got her superpowers. It has been teased that before Jessica was adopted by Trish's (Rachael Taylor) family, she was in the hospital for a long time. The shadowy organization, IGH, was revealed to be the one financing all of her operations. Speculations are rife that it was the one behind Jessica's huge transformation. In the series, IGH has been shown developing drugs to create super soldiers. Jessica's former ally, Will (Wil Traval), was one of the men being experimented on in the facility.

Meanwhile, viewers are looking forward to David Tennant's return as the mind-controlling villain, Kilgrave. Promo photos indicate that he will be back to torture Jessica once again. It still remains to be seen in what manner Kilgrave will appear as in the installment. Speculations indicate that he will just appear as a memory or in a bad dream for the heroine. Kilgrave is expected to have a huge effect on Jessica's peace of mind, and the season is expected to show the heroine at her most vulnerable.

"Jessica Jones" season 2 is expected to air in 2018 on Netflix.
