Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez Rumors: Despite Hanging Out Together, Ex-Couple Has Not Reconciled, Sources Claim
While there are reports claiming that exes Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have been hanging out lately, sources claim that the two are simply friends and have not reconciled as lovers.
According to reports, Bieber and Gomez have hung out more often recently after allegedly reconnecting when the latter made it public that she underwent a kidney transplant. However, the still avid fans of the former celebrated duo are advised to hold their horses as sources claim that the two's renewed dealings are nothing more than friendship.
Sources claim that Bieber and Gomez arrived together at the former's L.A. home recently and spent time together until midnight. While the recent photos of the two, which were shared by TMZ first, fueled the hopes of the fans who still want the two to reconcile, sources stressed that there was nothing romantic about the hanging out session as they were joined by other friends.
Insiders also insist that, even though Gomez's current beau, The Weeknd, was not present at the time Gomez and Bieber hung out, he was fully aware of the presence of Bieber in his girlfriend's home. While it would have been more exciting if he had joined them, he was not able to as he was reportedly on tour.
The recent sighting of Gomez and Bieber together is said to have been the second as the two were also reported to have been spotted earlier.
Bieber and Gomez first met in 2009 after the former's manager called Gomez's mom to set them up for a date. While there were already rumors claiming that the two were dating, it was not until 2011 when Bieber and Gomez officially admitted that they were a couple. However, in 2012, the then celebrated couple ended their relationship, allegedly because of Bieber's cheating.
While the two eventually reconciled, the relationship of the two became an on-and-off romance, until they finally ended the relationship, seemingly with finality, in 2016.
It was in January this year when Gomez and The Weeknd were first reported to be dating. While sources claim that Gomez's relationship with her new beau is getting stronger, Bieber has yet to officially admit his rumored relationship with actress Paula Paulin.
