Kelly Clarkson Brandon Blackstock to Wed This Fall

Kelly Clarkson has admitted that there is "a lot to plan" surrounding her upcoming nuptials, but she and fiancé Brandon Blackstock have picked a date.

Although the "Stronger" singer did not reveal the exact date, Clarkson promised that she would "not going to be a bridezilla" while speaking to People magazine.

Further proving her relaxed attitude about the big day, Clarkson said she was "going to be the exact opposite" of an uptight bride.

"I'm going to be like, Oh, the cake fell of the porch, that's fine, that's cool,'" explained the Grammy Award-winning singer. "'Cool, something's on fire, cool, whatever, we'll move it. We'll get married over there.' I'm going to be that girl."

Clarkson noted that her tranquil attitude is in part attributed to her extreme happiness.

"I never really thought I'd get married, so it's kind of cool that I fell in love and I'm getting married," she said.

The "Don't You Wanna Stay" singer began dating Blackstock last year, and the pair became engaged on Dec. 14. He is the stepson of singer Reba McEntire through her marriage to Clarkson's manager, Narvel Blackstock.

Despite having known each other for years, Clarkson and Blackstock did not end up together until last February last year.

"Brandon is my manager's son," Clarkson once explained to the Daily Mail. "I've known him for six years but he was married. Then, suddenly, there he was at the Super Bowl and he was single."

On the moment Blackstone proposed, Clarkson said she was at home completely unaware of the talent manager's intentions.

"I [didn't have] a d--- clue," exclaimed the "Stronger" singer speaking to People. "If I did I would have worn something besides Uggs and a sweatshirt with no bra!"

Furthermore, Clarkson admitted that before starting her relationship with Blackstock, she was lost while looking for love.

"I was dating skinny jeans and I needed Wranglers," she told the magazine. "I didn't know life could be this happy."

During her engagement announcement late last year, the "American Idol" alum gushed about Blackstone via Twitter.

"I'm ENGAGED," started the singer at the time. I wanted y'all to know!! Happiest night of my life last night! I am so lucky and am with the greatest man ever : )"
