Kris Humphries Wants Televised Divorce to Prove Kim Kardashian is a Fraud

Reality star Kim Kardashian's future ex husband, Kris Humphries, said he wants his divorce trial to be televised in an effort to expose the reality of so-called reality television and the Kardashian family, TMZ reported.

The New Jersey Net and his lawyer, Lee Hutton, want to prove to the court that Kardashian never intended on staying married to him and simply used him as another shameless ploy for her E! Network show, "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," to gain ratings.

Humphries, 27, and Hutton plan to ask the presiding judge to allow the divorce trial to be broadcast by television stations and TMZ so they can further prove their point, TMZ reported.

Humphries married Kardashian, 31, in August in an elaborate televised ceremony. Kim filed for a divorce from Humphries in October, just 72 days after their wedding. The couple's entire relationship, from courtship to separation, was filmed on the Kardashian family's several reality programs.

Kardashian has maintained that her marriage to Humphries was not staged.

"I'm such a hopeless romantic. I wanted to believe in something so badly," Kardashian told "Live with Kelly" host Kelly Ripa last month. "But if you really think about it, if this was a business decision and I really made all that money that everyone was claiming that we made off this wedding, and if the wedding was fake and just for TV -- I'm a smart businesswoman, I would've stayed married longer ... I really didn't think following my heart would create this much backlash."

But Humphries, who is seeking an annulment to the marriage instead of a divorce on the grounds of "fraud," has said Kim and her family are all in it for the fame.

RadarOnline released a report last month saying that Kardashian staged her proposal to the NBA star.

"Kim told Kris how, where and when to propose; it was absolutely no surprise to her whatsoever," the report said, quoting an unnamed "source close to the situation."

The gossip site's source said the proposal was staged so it would make the taping of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians."

Kris' romantic proposal reportedly had lighting and a full E! Channel hair and makeup team. Kardashian pretended to be surprised when she entered the rose petal filled room to see Humphries on one knee, but she and producers had just mapped out the entire scene.
