Benson Vows To Take Down A Child Molester in 'Law & Order SVU' Season 18 Episode 10

Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and her team's new case will involve a woman and her misguided child in the upcoming episode of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit."

In the episode titled "Motherly Love," the promo reveals that the SVU will be tapped to investigate a shooting incident. A teenager has committed a grave crime in order to save his mother, but the squad will later discover there is much more to the case that this. In the clip, the son allegedly shoots the person he thinks is assaulting his mom. He has no idea that the "assailant" is his best friend. He is more shocked to learn that his mom was not being hurt. In fact, he will catch the two doing something very intimate.

The teaser shows the teenager's expression upon discovering the truth. The sound of the rifle going off can be heard. He must have pulled the trigger out of disgust. When Benson interviews the mother, she makes sure the woman knows what she thinks of her. She has taken advantage of someone her son's age, and now, her son is paying for her crime. Benson will make sure that the woman will get what she deserves.

Meanwhile, series creator Dick Wolf recently shared that he thinks the Trump-inspired episode featuring Gary Cole will air in spring. He said that he does not interfere with the network's schedule.

"One response to this: I don't know when it's going to air," Wolf told Entertainment Weekly. "The one piece of scheduling that I can announce is there's an original SVU on tonight at 9, which is terrific. The episode is an episode that was written nine months ago. I don't know when it's going to air. They'll tell me. I don't control scheduling of individual episodes."

"Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" season 18 episode 10 will air Wednesday, Feb. 8, at 9 p.m. EST on NBC.
