Lenovo Vibe X3 Lite Spotted at TENAA

A Lenovo smartphone codenamed the K51c78, said to be the Vibe X3 Lite, has been sighted getting certified at TENAA.

After some confusion at TENAA when the Lenovo Vibe X3 was certified twice by the Chinese certification authority last month, another Lenovo handset, allegedly reported to be the Vibe X3 Lite with codename K51c78, was seen getting its own certification this week.

Lenovo has been on the road to gain more of the market share with its successive launching of a number of devices ranging from high-end to low-end, and it may be planning to add yet another handset to its low-cost range after the Vibe X3 Lite was spotted getting certified.

The Vibe X3 Lite is said to be a toned-down version of the Vibe X3, and features a 5.5-inch full HD touchscreen display with a 1080 x 1920p resolution over an octa-core 1.3GHz CPU and a MediaTek MT6753 SoC, supported by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage expandable via microSD under the hood.

Featuring a 13MP rear camera with dual-LED flash and a 5MP front unit, the Lenovo Vibe X3 Lite is powered by Android 5.1 out of the box, and juiced by a 3,300mAh battery. It also carries a fingerprint scanner located beneath its main camera unit, and supports 4G LTE, 3G, and Wi-Fi connectivity, as well as GPS.

Called the "Lite" model because it is both physically and specs-wise lower end compared to its older sibling, the Vibe X3 Lite weighs 152 grams in an 8.7mm thick body, and will be available in white, black, silver, and gold iterations.

Rumored to be priced at $142 when it hits the market, there has still been no word on when the latest Lenovo handset is scheduled for launch, or when the Chinese tech manufacturer plans to release it in the market.
