LG G Flex 2 will be available in UK stores on March 19.
Customers can sign up to pre-register for the handset. They will be the first ones to get an update once the LG G Flex 2 can be pre-ordered. Reports say that the device can be ordered on Feb. 28.
The LG G Flex 2 was first unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show on Jan.6 to 9 in Las Vegas. The device is the successor of LG G Flex, which was the first curved smartphone in the world.
The curved G Flex 2 has buttons at the back like its predecessor but it has a smaller size. It measures 149.1 x 75.3 x 9.4 millimeters and weighs 152 grams. The G Flex 2 has a "self healing back panel coating."
The screen measures 5.5 inches and is a Curved P-OLED capacitive touchscreen. The resolution runs at 1080 x 1920 pixels with pixel density of 403 ppi. It is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 to avoid smudges and light scratches.
As for the camera, the G Flex 2 sports a 13-megapixel primary cam with 4128 x 3096 pixels while the secondary cam has 2.1-megapixel at 1080 @ 30 frames per second. The added features are geo tagging, simultaneous image and video recording, panorama, HDR and face detection.
The device's operating system is Android 5.0.1 Lollipop with Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 chipset. The CPU of G Flex 2 is Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & Quad-core 2 GHz Cortex-A57 and the GPU is Adreno 430.
Users can store files with its internal memory of 16 GB and 2 GB of RAM. If the customer purchased the 32 GB option, the device comes with 3 GB of RAM. Both models have microSD slots that can store files up to 128 GB.
As for the G Flex 2's battery, it is a Li-Po 3000 mAh battery that cannot be removed. It has also a fast charging feature wherein the battery gets charged at 60 percent in just 30 minutes. The handset is available in silver and red models.
As of this time, there is no official news about the price. For interested buyers, they can register on Carphone Warehouse in order to get notifications once the LG G Flex 2 is available for ordering.
