'Life in Pieces' Episode 4 Spoilers and Episode 3 Recap: More Family Craziness

On the next episode of "Life in Pieces" entitled "Prison Baby Golf Picking," the official synopsis reads, "The siblings praise Greg for standing up to Joan over her questioning of Jen's parenting skills; Chad wants one last meal with Colleen's grandmother before heading to jail; Matt and Greg try to dissuade Tim from beating John at a round of golf; and Sophia gets a peanut stuck in her nose."

In the promo for the episode, it seems that Colleen's ex-husband, played by Jordan Peele, has some requests before he goes to prison. He tells Colleen and Matt this in the most awkward conversation. Also in the promo, Tim plays golf with John and it seems that he is winning, which Matt and Greg try to stop.

The preceding episode began with Jen and Greg as their baby cried. The new parents were sleep deprived and they were giving a bottle to the baby. Jen asked Greg to go to the store and buy some more diapers and a slushy. At the store, Greg bought the items but he was so sleep deprived that he forgot the diapers. Later on, he got caught by a cop who thought he was drunk or on some sort of drug. Greg fell asleep in the cop car, while he explained to his wife where he was.

Joan even put her hand on top of Colleen's and she made everyone laugh and have fun. Unfortunately, the fun was ruined when Joan mentioned Matt's ex-wife, whom he did not tell her about.

The family gathered at Greg and Jen's house to watch the game. The Short men went outside in an effort to cut the tree in the yard as a montage to the song "I Need a Hero" played. The men failed and the professional tree cutter was called. Greg had a chiropractor appointment.
