Lolo Jones Looking for Date? Olympic Star Jokes of Finding 'Hot' Actor

The Olympic Games commences on Friday, and one of the hopefuls for the United States is Lolo Jones. She will be keeping her eyes firmly focused on getting a medal in the London 2012 Games, but the self-confessed virgin who promotes abstinence recently came out and spoke about relationships.

The popular spots star has been outspoken about being a virgin, which has won her many plaudits, but has also led to her being questioned about relationships more than perhaps she others would. Recently Lolo, who is usually more modest about such things, recently joked to E! News, "Whatever actor is watching this-if you're single and you are hot, I am single as well. Hit me up after the Olympics."

Lolo is one of the favorites to get a medal in the Olympics and finished the hurdles in third place at the Olympics trials.

She recently appeared on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno and was featured by Time magazine on its cover alongside two other athletes in an Olympic special preview edition. The headlines that followed her interview with Jay Leno in June were focused primarily on what many perceive to be her romantic compatibility with New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow.

During the interview, the 29-year-old hurdler said she never thought she would get so much attention for simply revealing that she is still a virgin. While some of her Twitter followers offered their support for her decision to remain abstinent until marriage, Jones says she also received backlash from some when she made the announcement.

"Everybody's mad at a girl who doesn't put out," she told comedian Louis C.K., who was also a guest on the show.

When asked about her dating life, she said she is currently single but uses Twitter as her primary method of finding dates. She has tried other methods as well, but says she has bigger things on her mind right now.

Jones jokingly told Leno that she knows a foolproof way of getting Tebow to agree to a date: she will take him to church.

"I'm pretty sure I'm just going to invite Tebow to church," she said. "It's a 100% way not to get rejected."

The Christian Post's Jeff Shapiro also contributed to this report.
