'Marvel's Agent Carter' Release Date, News: ABC Releases 2 New Teasers

ABC recently released new promo for the upcoming crime-fighting TV series "Marvel's Agent Carter," and it's not one but two teasers.

The videos for the Hayley Atwell-led MCU small screen show featured the titular character Peggy Carter as a more than capable woman living with two kinds of lives – one as an office worker and the other as a crime-fighting agent.

The first preview was dubbed "It Ain't Life and Death" and it reveals circumstances which will help fans understand the need for her to assume a double life. In the video, her friend Angie (Lindsey Fonesca) reminded her about their movie date and that Peggy shouldn't have to worry about her application with the "phone company."

Meanwhile, different scenes interject showing how really "busy" Peggy is at work: fighting with the bad guys, going into covert missions, lockpicking safes, and other missions.

The second video further showed how competent and abled Peggy is when confronted with the challenges she has to face in her line of duty. Other than knife-fights, gun-fights, and explosions, Peggy also has to deal with sexism.

Fans might also have taken a glimpse of some of the characters found in the two videos. There's "Boardwalk Empire" actor Shea Wigham who is revealed is the head of the Scientific Strategic Reserve organization.

Also briefly shown are James D'Arcy, as Howard Stark's (Dominic Cooper) butler Jarvis, and Ray Wise ("Twin Peaks") who is caught making offhanded remarks about Peggy being a secretary.

"Marvel's Agent Carter" will start on Tuesday, Jan. 6 at 9 p.m. on ABC.
