'Masters of Sex' season 3 episode 11 spoilers and episode 10 recap: The most awkward dinner party ever

In the next episode of "Masters of Sex" titled "Party of Four," the official synopsis reads, agendas collide as Masters, Johnson, Logan, and his wife meet for dinner. In the promo for the episode,the two couples are seen having a lovely but awkward dinner. Bill is giving a toast and Gina is miffed at Bill for inviting Dan's wife. In the meantime, an officer shows up looking for Bill.

In the previews, Bill tells Gina that he invited Dan's wife. The tension in the air is palpable as Gina and Bill argue over small things. The toast is rather awkward, and Gina walks away from the dinner. Dan smirks at Bill's misfortune over Gina. Libby gets a visit from an officer looking for Bill. What could the officer want with Bill?

In the preceding episode, it began with Libby as she tried to seduce Paul but failed and merely ended up doing some errands for him while he was in a meeting. She tried to express how she felt but was interrupted by her kids, and as it turned out, Paul was planning something special for her birthday with her kids.

Bill presented Libby with an intinerary for a special trip to Chicago by herself so that she could get away, but she declined the gift since she has not done a trip like that in a long time. Bill wanted to get Gina back from Dan badly.

Dan apparently knew that Gina was having sexual relations with Bill because Tessa told him. Tessa knew all along about Bill and Gina got upset because she realized that her illusion never worked. Dan understood Gina completely.

Bill sees Gina as she drove off with Dan and he hits the bottle. He fell into a drunken stupor. Paul proposed to Libby in a surprising and touching moment.
