No Jackpot Winner for Last Mega Millions Drawing Sept. 27, Tuesday

Update – September 30, 2016 – 11:00 p.m. ET: The winning numbers for Friday's Mega Millions jackpot are 21, 30, 47, 50, 57 and the megaball is 9. The Megaplier is 5x.

The Mega Millions jackpot prize for Sept. 30, Friday, has risen to $30 million after no one was able to match the winning numbers.

The Mega Millions numbers last Sept. 27 were 14, 16, 26, 53 and 72. The gold ball was 4 and the Megaplier was 4x. The next lottery drawing will be on Sept. 30, Friday, at 11PM ET. The jackpot prize of $30 million for this day has a cash value of $20 million.

Mega Millions Sept. 27, Tuesday Lottery Drawings Recap
In the last Mega Millions drawing, no one was also able to match five white balls which would have won a player the default prize of $1 million. Matching all five white balls is the highest non-jackpot prize in the lottery, however, it can be multiplied by the Megaplier if the player opted for that option.

According to the official Mega Millions website, there were 18 people who matched 4 white balls and the gold Mega ball. The default prize amount is $5000, but there were 4 people who opted for the Megaplier option. They each received $20,000 in winnings.

Nine Ways to Win in Mega Millions
There are nine ways to win in the Mega Millions. The prize amount corresponds to how many drawn numbers are matched by the player and if the Megaplier option was availed.

Matching four white balls has a default prize amount of $400. With last week's Megaplier number of 4x, some winners increased their winnings to $2,000. Matching three white balls and the golden Mega ball gets an equivalent prize amount of $50, multiplied depending on the Megaplier ball.

The prize for matching three balls and below in the Mega Millions lottery starts at $5 and the lowest prize that can be won is $1. All non-jackpot prizes in the Mega Millions lottery have the possibility of being multiplied by the Megaplier.

How to Play Mega Millions

To play in the Mega Millions, bettor must supply six numbers to represent the five white balls and the golden Mega ball during the drawing. The five numbers for the white balls must be different and can only be from numbers 1 to 75. The number for the Mega ball must only be from 1 to 15.

Each ticket costs $1 and an additional $1 is added for the Megaplier. The Mega Millions lottery is playable in 44 US states and the drawings are done twice every week on Tuesdays and Fridays at 11PM.
