Microsoft Reveals Huge Lineup of Horror Games on Sale for Xbox One, 360

As if this week's selection for Xbox Live Gold members was not enough, Microsoft unleashed a huge wave of titles comprised of horror games just in time for the Halloween celebration.

Just like in the Games With Gold and Deals With Gold promos, Xbox Live director Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb unveiled the list of games via his blog site earlier this week. Tagged the "Xbox Shocktober Savings," Microsoft's annual event in celebration of the Halloween season offers discounted deals for both Xbox One and Xbox 360 users.

Heading the tempting deals for Xbox One is a long list of games from the "Resident Evil" franchise. Available at 60 percent off is the "Resident Evil Triple Pack" while the "Resident Evil 7 Deluxe Edition" is sold for half the price at $45. Moreover, classic titles like "Resident Evil 0 Complete Costume Pack," and "Resident Evil 3, 4, and 5" are all for sale at 60 percent off, among others.

Meanwhile, other notable horror games on sale for Xbox One include "Dead by Daylight" for $18, "Diablo III: Eternal Collection" for $36, and "DmC: Devil May Cry Definitive Edition" for $9.90. Also available are "The Evil Within Digital Deluxe Edition" for $15, "Oxenfree" for $5, and "The Walking Dead: A New Frontier - The Complete Season" for $12.50, among many others.

For Xbox 360 users, they can get also get some Resident Evil titles at discounted prices, as well as "Diablo III: Reaper of Souls" for 60 percent off. Meanwhile, also on sale are "Castlevania Harmony of Despair," "Castlevania: Symphony of the Night," "Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate," and "Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 " all at 66 percent off each.

In addition, the "Silent Hill: HD Collection" is also marked down at a whopping 75 percent off. The same goes for "Dead Space 1, 2, and 3" also at 75 percent off.

Gamerant noted that the Xbox Shocktober Sale will last up to the final second of Halloween on Oct. 31.
