This is the first of three meetings between the two teams in the series and it should shape up to be a great matchup as both teams have been relatively poor in their last 10 games.
At the moment, the Mets are third in the National League – East with a 22-18 record. They have been 10-8 at home and have lost their last two games. In their 10-game stretch, the Mets have only been 3-7 and have slowly started to decline in the standings.

Their last series was against the Chicago Cubs and despite losing the three-game series 2-1, they won their last contest 5-3 which they can use to help propel them against the Mets.
