'Minecraft' Console Versions To Get Huge Update Soon

Good news for 'Minecraft' gamers who play the game on current generation and older generation consoles: their version of the game will be receiving a huge update soon and one that will bring features that were originally available in the PC version of the game only. According to a report in Tech Times, Update 31 will be brought to the PlayStation 3, the PlayStation 4, the Xbox 360, the Xbox One and the PlayStation Vita soon.

The update is said to include new mobs or moving beings such as Chicken Jockeys, Rabbits, Guardians, Endermites and Elder Guardians. It will also bring new features such as new biomes which are new geographical areas in the game. Some of the new biomes that will be included are Mesa, Mega Taiga, Roofed Forest, Birch Forest, Forest, Savannah, Deep Ocean, Extreme Hills+, Snowless Taiga and 20 new Technical Biomes, according to the report.

These features were only available before with the game's PC version so console version owners are excited to get the update. For players who love fishing in the game, new things will be in store such as "particle effects with bubbles" while fishing and being able to catch treasure while fishing. One can catch different kinds of fish, junk or even enchanted items.

As for the villagers in the game, they can now have "additional professions and trading schemes," as well as being able to harvest crops and breed only when they want to. Villagers who get struck by lightning now become witches.

The update and all the new features it brings are detailed in the official "Minecraft" forum, according to the report.

Aside from the console update, the game's developers are also working on an update for the PC version of the game, which is said to bring dual wielding, enchanted arrows and many more.

The report did not indicate when the update will arrive, but it is expected to arrive soon.
