Natalie Wood’s Death Still a Mystery as Investigators Find No New Evidence
Thirty years after she suspiciously drowned while yachting, officials are still searching for new clues into the death of actress Natalie Wood, but having no luck.
The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department told E! News on Wednesday that there is still no evidence of foul play in the actress’s case and her death is still being called an accidental drowning.
The department also stressed that the case "is still being investigated and is still active."

The “Miracle on 34th Street” star went sailing off of Santa Catalina Island in 1981, on a yacht with her husband, actor Robert Wagner, and somehow wound up overboard.
Los Angeles officials originally ruled Wood’s an accident, but decided to re-examine the case 30 years later due to new information from Marti Rulli’s book titled, Goodbye Natalie, Goodbye Splendour.
Chief of Detectives William McSweeney told E! that investigators are still trying to find answers to smaller questions in the original investigation, but he doesn't believe any further assessments will change the ruling of Wood's death from an accident.
Wood’s husband Wagner has denied any wrongdoing and was not a suspect at the time of her death, Los Angeles Sheriff's Department officials stated in November.
