That team even includes Coach Mike Krzyzewski's video game render. In fact, NBA 2K 2K17 tweeted an image showing the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics Basketball Champions.

Aside from the 2016 National Team, NBA 2K17 also features the Dream Team of 1992. The team was called as such because it is composed of some of the greatest players in the history of the NBA, including Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Patrick Ewing, Christian Laettner etc.

NBA 2K17 released a video entitled "The Dream Lives On," which showed the two teams, 1992 Dream Team and 2016 USA Basketball Men's Team, going head to head in a match while the Star-Spangled Banner is being sung in the background.

Player Ratings

NBA 2K17 has released most of the player ratings even before the game hits the shelves. Among the stars, the highest rated is LeBron James at 96, followed by Stephen Curry at 94, Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard and Russell Westbrook with 93, Chris Paul with 91, Klay Thompson, Anthony Davis, and DeMarcus Cousins with 90, and Paul George, Kyrie Irving, and Damian Lillard with 89.

NBA Stars on New Teams

NBA 2K17 fans who pre-ordered will get the first opportunity to play with superstars that have transferred to other teams. Two players come to mind, Kevin Durant, who now plays for the Golden State Warriors, and Derrick Rose who now plays for the New York Knicks.

In the #Friction promotional video of NBA 2K17, you can actually see Kevin Durant wearing a Golden State Warriors uniform, and playing against former teammate Russell Westbrook.

In another promotional video called Kicks Matter, Derrick Rose is seen throwing a contested layup wearing a Knicks Jersey and showcasing the D Rose 7 shoe.

Updated Face Scanning Feature

At least on paper, the NBA 2K face scanning feature lets gamers become more immersed in the game as they see their own faces play against NBA stars. This year, NBA 2K17 upgraded the face scanning feature by allowing gamers to use their phones to scan via the MyNBA2K17 app.

The app is available for both Android and iOS and it only works for Xbox One and PS4 NBA 2K17 versions.

Last year, face scanning feature can only be done using Kinect Xbox One or Playstation Camera. Now, 2K has definitely made face scanning much easier. It remains to be seen whether the simplified feature offers better scans.
