NBA News 2016: Celtics' Jae Crowder's Girlfriend Arrested for Being Involved in Alleged Spitting Incident During Game

The Boston Celtics' Monday night game turned out to be a double-whammy for forward Jae Crowder.

After his team lost to the Los Angeles Clippers with a final score of 114-90, the 25-year old basketball player suffered another setback after his girlfriend Dana Lambert was arrested due to a spitting incident during the game.

According to a report by TMZ, Lambert was arrested for 'simple battery', after she got into a heated altercation with another woman in the middle of the said game at the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles. In response, the aggrieved woman then called security to demand that they make a citizen's arrest, in which the security personnel complied with.

After which, the Los Angeles Police Department arrested Lambert, and was slapped with misdemeanor battery charges.

The report adds that there has been a long-standing feud with the still unnamed woman and Lambert. Lambert was eventually released early Tuesday morning, after she posted bail amounting to $20,000.

The said incident was not the first time Lambert was involved in a public altercation. Ironically, the previous one happened last August, where she allegedly hacked into Crowder's Instagram account and posted a photo of another woman whom she claimed was having an affair with her boyfriend.

In the said post, Lambert posted a photo of a woman named Erica Phillips, a woman she described as a "major h*e." The caption on the photo was expectedly nothing less than unpleasant.

"This is a home wrecking h*e!" She's a former drug dealer and she has abandoned her child trying to come up off athletes. Her 7 year old child is currently in New York City with her ex who pretends to be his father, who is also a drug dealer. She is desperate & lost!" the caption on the post reads.

For the current season, so far, Crowder was able to put in significant numbers, averaging 14.4 points and 5.4 rebounds, through 31.9 minutes of playing time per game.
