The phone rang and the caller addressed both of them by name and rank, which meant that the caller knew who he was dealing with. The caller gave them a real reason to be scared when he demanded that they ditch their phones and all their communication devices. If they don't, then 20 people will die.

Sam and Callen did what the caller wanted. They got rid of everything, which meant that there was no way to track their movements. The caller gave them a hint and they discovered that there was a bomb at a bus stop. They were able to save everyone and this amused the caller who wanted to know if they would be just as good in their next assignment.

The caller arranged for them to sneak into a building where they could steal millions of dollars in diamonds or watch as he blow thousands of people into bits. Sam and Callen had no choice but to comply.

Luckily, Eric and Nell managed to track their location and they discovered that the caller was a man named Chad Brunson. Chad was seeking revenge after his brother Tyler died in a failed heist that was operated by the team.

Chad just wanted Sam and Callen to be arrested for felony, but he had no idea that Kensi and Deeks had been following the guys the whole time. Kensi and Deeks showed up and took Chad into custody, but he died. Before he took his last breath, the team wondered if there was another mole inside the team.
