'New Girl' Zooey Deschanel Announces She is Pregnant

Zooey Deschanel just announced that she is pregnant.

Together with her sister Emily Deschanel, they will face the following months as expecting mothers together.
"New Girl" star confirmed to People that she and boyfriend Jacob Pechenik are expecting their first child.

"Jacob and I are over the moon. We are so excited to meet our little one," said Zooey.

The 34-year-old actrees and her producer partner have been dating since last year.

This news came as a surprise for most of her fans since she recently attended a red carpet with Pechenik. However, she was able to conceal the baby bump with her adorable pink cocktail dress.

In an interview with InStyle magazine, Zooey was somehow hesitant to discuss having a family.

"When I was married, that was the first thing people wanted to know," said the "She & Him" singer.

"Like every woman is dying to give birth! I don't think so. Nobody asks a guy that. And you go into a supermarket and every tabloid is like, 'Pregnant and Alone!' Stuck in this 950s ideal of how a woman should live her life. That's not something that defines me at all," she added.

But, if she would be like her sister, she would be expecting a lot of "thirsty" moments.

Emily, pregnant on her second child, told Us Weekly: "I just get thirsty. You have to drink more water and I can only drink so much water. I used to drink a ton of [fluids] and now I've hit my limit so I think of a variety.

"Once I get thirsty, I'll want lemonade or a sparkling water. Maybe it is citrus fruits!"
