New PlayStation Games Starting April 11: 'Yooka-Laylee,' 'StarBlood Arena,' 'Cosmic Star Heroine' Lead the Pack

New playable titles are what makes a gamer loyal to his console. For PlayStation (PS) owners, there is definitely a lot to be excited for this week as a deluge of new games are coming, hailing from various genres, giving options for any type of player.

In a PlayStation blog post, Sony Interactive Entertainment America Social Media senior specialist Ryan Clements has announced 14 games arriving on the PS platforms. Three of them are PS Vita titles, one can be played through the PS VR, another can be played on the PS Vita and PS4, while the rest are coming to the PS4.

Arguably the most popular out of the games that are set to land this week is Playtonic Games' homage to classic 3D platformers, "Yooka-Laylee." Considered as one of the most successful Kickstarter-funded titles, the game follows the exploits of buddies Yooka and Laylee as they traverse vividly illustrated stages exploding with color set in a vast, open world. With the game operating on simple yet enjoyable controls, it is bound to be another instant fan-favorite.
