Annie Movie, Fury, Still Alice Live Stream Appear Online After Hacker Attack Leak

After Sony Pictures was hacked last week, four of the studio's unreleased films have been leaked online. It was reported that "Annie," "Still Alice," "Mr. Turner," "To Write Love on Her Arms" and "Fury" were released in file sharing sites over the weekend. According to Variety, "Fury" was among the most pirated films with 1.2 million downloads from different IP addresses as of Nov. 30.

"The theft of Sony Pictures Entertainment content is a criminal matter, and we are working closely with law enforcement to address it," a representative from Sony said in a statement to Variety.

"Fury" has made $171 million worldwide and is still playing in theaters as of the moment. The "Annie" reboot is due out in theaters in Dec. 19 and it has reportedly been downloaded more than 210,000 times so far. "To Write Love on Her Arms" is slated for release next year.

However, the only other Sony film that was set for release this year, "The Interview," which stars Seth Rogen and James Franco, was not leaked online. The film tells the story of two entertainment journalists trying to kill North Korea leader Kim Jong Un. According to Re/code, Sony was investigating whether the initial hack was done on behalf of North Korea.

It was previously reported that the North Korean government criticized Sony for the production of the film. Back in June, a spokeswoman from North Korea said, "The act of making and screening such a movie that portrays an attack on our top leadership … is a wanton act of terror and act of war, and is absolutely intolerable."

The Voice of America reports that the government of North Korea also wrote to U.S. President Barack Obama, asking him to stop the screening of the film.
