The New York Giants' season is hanging on by the thinnest of threads, and they will be looking to win out from here on in to have any chance at stealing a postseason berth. They will have to begin with a win today against the San Diego Chargers, who have an identical record as the Giants. The game will start at 4.25 p.m. ET and can be watched online through free live stream (details below).

The Giants bounced back from their tight defeat by the Dallas Cowboys in Week 12 with a solid victory over the struggling Washington Redskins last week. That 24-17 win will have given them hopes that there is still something in this season for them, however, it will take an immense effort to get through to the postseason from here.

Even if they do defeat the Chargers today, they will be hosting the Seattle Seahawks next week – a team being touted as one of the Super Bowl favorites for this season, and a team that has lost only once this term so far.

Even if they overcome those obstacles over the coming 2 weeks, they would then have to travel to Detroit to face off against a very strong Lions team, who are fighting it out fiercely for their own division title. It would be an amazing run of wins if they can claim three wins from those three games, and if they do manage to win out the season they might just have an outside chance of making the playoffs.

Eli Manning will need to hit some of the best form if he is to lead the Giants to wins over the coming weeks. He is currently 246 of 422 from 2,995 yards and 15 touchdowns. He will not be entirely satisfied with how his season has gone this year, and having a 27th ranked offense in the NFL (320.8 total yards per game) will be far below where he is aiming for.

The Giants and the Chargers are both on 5-7 and third in the NFC East and AFC West respectively.

The Chargers put on an immense display a fortnight ago to defeat the Kansas City Chiefs 41-38 in Week 12. However, they were unable to build on that and lost 10-17 against the Cincinnati Bengals last week. How today's game goes may depend a lot on which Chargers offense turns up – the one that ripped apart the Chiefs defense two weeks ago, or the one that was toothless in the loss to the Bengals last week?

The New York Giants against the San Diego Chargers will start at 4.25 p.m. ET and can be watched on TV on the Fox network or online through free live stream by clicking here.
