Few details have been revealed, but Friedman and Scherzinger were released unharmed.

Scherzinger was recently invited, alongside Simon Bowman, Earl Carpenter, John Owen-Jones and Ramin Karimloo, to perform at the Royal Variety Performance in a tribute celebrating it as the longest running show on Broadway.

The X-Factor judge also made news after she cried during the elimination of Rachel Crow, the 13-year-old X-Factor competitor. The decision came after a deadlock was produced from the judges, giving America the chance to vote.

After last night’s semi-final round, Melanie Amaro, Josh Krajcik and Chris Rene were all voted to continue on to the final round and compete for the $5 million prize.
