Orlando Bloom, Miranda Kerr Split Confirmed

Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr are officially ending their marriage after months of speculation, according to an announcement on Friday.

The former couple issued a joint statement revealing that they had been living apart for months, but are now taking formal steps to dissolve their marriage.

"Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr have announced they have been amicably separated for the past few months," a rep for the actor revealed, according to E! News. "After six years together, they have recently decided to formalize their separation."

Married in 2010, Bloom and Kerr share one child together- their two-year-old son, Flynn.

"Despite this being the end of their marriage, they love, support and respect each other as both parents of their son and as family," the statement continued.

British-born Bloom and the Aussie Victoria's Secret model first took their relationship public back in 2008. The pair welcomed their son in Jan. 2011, but one year later, rumors of trouble in their relationship began when Kerr was spotted without her wedding ring.

Nonetheless, just last month, Kerr attended Bloom's Broadway opening of "Romeo & Juliet" in support of her estranged husband, even tweeting that she was "proud" of him.

Meanwhile, Bloom is best known for his role in "Pirates of the Caribbean" and in "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy, including his upcoming role reprisal in "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug."

The same day that his divorce was announced, Bloom appeared on "Live! With Kelly and Michael" in order to promote his Broadway show "Romeo & Juliet," in which he plays Romeo. However, the actor made no mention of his divorce.

Alternately, Kerr is parting ways with Victoria's Secret this year, but the model will remain busy with her own line of makeup, Kora Organics, and her latest advertising campaign for Mango.
