Pacquiao vs. Bradley 3: Floyd Mayweather Reportedly Scores Fight a Draw, Pacquiao Responds

Floyd Mayweather Jr. recently shared his opinions regarding the recently concluded rubber match between eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao and former WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley.

Pacquiao ended his career on a high note on Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas by coming out victorious via unanimous decision, scoring two official knockdowns in the process. All three judges scored the bout with a final tally of 116-110.

The Filipino boxing icon then announced his retirement after 20 years of active competition to focus on both his family and political aspirations. He is currently a Senatorial candidate in the upcoming May 9th Philippines elections.

Pacquiao ended his career with a record of 58-6-2, with 38 wins by knockout.

Mayweather, however, scored the fight differently. In a report by ESPN, a source close to the retired undefeated boxer says Floyd personally spoke to Bradley after the fight.

According to the anonymous source, Mayweather told "Desert Storm" that he though that the fight was 'much closer' than what was indicated on the cards, adding he believed the contest should have been scored a draw.

"Go home and watch the replay with the sound off,'' Mayweather is said to have told Bradley, indicating he believed the raucously pro-Pacquiao crowd had influenced the judges," an excerpt of the report reads.

In another interview by Fight Hype, Mayweather himself said that the fight was a lot closer, noting that in boxing, "you win some, you lose some."

It did not take long before Mayweather's post-fight analysis to reach his long-time rival. And for his part, Pacquiao offered his own response to "Money May". In an interview in a local television show 24 Oras (as reported by Boxingscene), Pacquiao questioned Mayweather's mental state.

"If that is his opinion, it is right for him to retire," Pacquiao said of Mayweather. "It seems there really is a problem (with his mental state)."

Mayweather retired from the sport of boxing last September, after beating former world champion Andre Berto. He ended his career with a record of 49-0 (with 26 wins by knockout).
