'Paragon' New Character Morigesh Becomes Playable

For months, Epic Games' free-to-play multiplayer online battle arena game, "Paragon," has introduced melee heroes one after the other. Today, a new ranged caster by the name of Morigesh breaks the streak, and she looks like someone nobody would dare mess with.

In the cinematic launch trailer, Morigesh looks like a magic-wielding voodoo expert who joins the fray in a rather eccentric, foreboding way. She hits her enemies from afar with spells and even makes herself huge, crushing the opposition. Nonetheless, her fighting style is rather enigmatic, which in a way is scary as it is unpredictable.

An overview discussing her abilities sheds more light on her mysterious ways. Her first skill, Swarm, allows her to increase her movement speed and pass through enemies, damaging them and gaining a Health Regeneration stack. Another basic yet important skill is Mark, where she identifies a target, does damage and changes her voodoo doll to the target's image.

After a target is marked, this is where things get brutal. Her other skill, Hive, makes her throw a bomb of insects dealing area damage and damage over time. Marked targets will suffer from the effect longer, slowing them down more. Her ultimate, Curse, is what makes the combination with Mark deadly as she deals damage by conjuring a larger image of herself stabbing the enemy, and there is nowhere to hide.

Morigesh is the latest ranged hero to join "Paragon." The last ranged fighter to be introduced was Lt. Belica, and was followed by a barrage of several melee attackers. Morigesh joining the skirmish means more options for players to try out.

Aside from her introduction, one can notice that the map, particularly the jungle area, has been revamped. This is one of the major changes that have arrived with the Version 39 patch, along with a new character, skin variations and a lot more.

"Paragon" reveals a new hero every three weeks, and so fans will get to see a new one again on April 25.
