'Payday 2' for Nintendo Switch Updates: Game on Track for Winter Release, Game Play to Take Advantage of Hybrid Console's Features
While some thought that "Payday 2" would not arrive at the Nintendo Switch as scheduled, it has been announced that the PC game is still on schedule for its winter release, and its gameplay would see some tweaking so that it can fully take advantage of the hybrid console's features.
The Nintendo Switch version of "Payday 2" was announced in April, and in a recent update, Overkill Software has assured the fans of the game that it will arrive as originally scheduled. Despite the update, though, the studio has still not revealed an exact release date for the game.
While the Nintendo Switch version of "Payday 2" is expected to retain the gameplay of its PC version, it has been confirmed that the game will come with a revamped interface and touchscreen support as it can run on both of the hybrid console's portable and tabletop mode.
As of this writing, nothing much is known about the Nintendo Switch version of "Payday 2." However, according to the game's producer Almir Listo, fans of the game waiting for its arrival on the console will receive a special treat, which will be announced at a later date.
To the uninitiated, "Payday 2" is a PC game released in 2013 and is considered to be very similar to a real-life bank heist. If players pick their crew well, everything will run smoothly, and everybody will get rich. However, if someone with low IQ is tasked to rob the bank, everything can go wrong, and players will find themselves in jail.
Gaming pundits opine that, just like most co-op games, "Payday 2" is a good game if it is played with the right people. If it is played the way it should be, players can be rewarded with a challenging and exciting game, thanks to its high-tense action and intense running gunfights.
