Ex-Wife Pilar: Deion Sanders Only Gives Me Money for 'Sexual Favors'

Sources for the NFL star say Pilar is trying to extort her husband

Pilar Sanders, the soon to be ex-wife of NFL Hall-of-Famer Deion Sanders, claims Deion has only offered to give her money in exchange for sex, according to new court papers obtained by TMZ.

Pilar, who has three children with Deion, said the Football legend is holding her as a "financial hostage."

"Since [Deion] filed for divorce on December 21, 2011, he has given [Pilar] $300.00 and offered her money in exchange for sexual favors," the documents alleged. "Pilar turned down the money."

Pilar filed an emergency motion in Texas on Thursday saying Deion has canceled her credit cards and left her with no means to support herself and their children.

"The children and I have lived in survival mode for several months, and the emotional toll on all of us is palpable," Pilar said in the claims.

Pilar, who also claimed Deion has canceled her cell phone, is asking the judge to force Deion to provide her with the money she and their family needs to survive.

Pilar said Deion has "engaged in a pattern of systematically removing my belongings from the house and haphazardly throwing them into piles in the garage of the residence."

Sources close to Deion told TMZ that Pilar is lying and attempting to extort the athlete.

"Pilar has continued to make false statements in an attempt to extort additional money, in spite of the generous pre-nup that she voluntarily signed," a close adviser to Deion told TMZ. "Deion is going to allow a judge to resolve this privately, then he looks forward to setting the record straight publicly at the appropriate time."

The sources also argued that Deion recently sent Pilar a cashier's check for $10,000 and Pilar rejected it.

Larry Friedman, Pilar's lawyer, quickly defended his client, telling the gossip site she refused the check because it was a "partial payment" toward their prenuptial agreement, which she believes is invalid.

"The offer does not reflect the assets in the estate and does not account for the time, effort, devotion, and faithfulness Pilar has invested in the marriage," Friedman told TMZ.

Deion and Pilar were wed in 1999. Pilar has also accused Deion of infidelity and has said in past claims that the divorce should be granted on grounds of "mental, emotional and physical abandonment."
