The jackpot price for Saturday's Powerball draw has reached $141 million and guarantees potential winners with more than $93 million cash value.

Still No Winners

Powerball announced that the total winnings has climbed to this amount after no bettor won the top prize during Wednesday's draw. The number combination last June 8 was 12-25-37-60-69-20.

Aside from not having any winner for the jackpot, the lottery game also did not have any lucky individuals who took home the $2 million prize for the Match 5 Power Play and the $1 million for Match 5.

However, there were still more than 500,000 individuals who won cash prizes beginning at $4. A Michigan player matched four of the white balls, which has an equivalent winning of $50,000. This is considered to be the biggest prize won in the said state since Powerball started,

All these monetary rewards were in exchange for Powerball tickets, which only cost $2 each. Forty-four states in the US are able to join this lottery game including Puerto Rico, Washington D.C. and the US Virgin Islands.

How to Win the Jackpot

Residents who are interested to bet on the game can simply pick six numbers -- five for the white balls and one for the red ball. A jackpot can be won when all six of these numbers (even in no particular order) match those picked during the draw.

Another feature of the lottery is the so-called Power Play, which can be bought for an additional $1. This will increase the jackpot prize if won by up to five times its value.

In case there is a jackpot winner, the individual can claim the prize with an initial immediate payment with the remaining amount to be given in a period of 29 years. A cash lump sum option can also be chosen though the player would still need to pay the tax.

To provide guidance to potential jackpot winners, Powerball explained that receiving the winnings in tranches could increase the yearly value of the money by as much as 5 percent. This is because the lottery invests this amount to grow and help the winning bettor. If a player chooses to get the lump sum amount, he can decide where to invest his money.

Those who would like to bet and possibly win prizes through Powerball, they are advised to enter their bets 59 minutes before the scheduled draw every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. For Saturday, the draw can be viewed live through this Powerball website link.
