Rare Collection of 'Pokemon' Premium Trainer's XY Cards to Be Released on Oct. 20

Pokemon fans will have, yet, again, another exciting item to look forward to. This time, the surprise comes in the form of hard-to-find Pokemon cards.

Pokemon announced on its official website "The Pokémon TCG: Premium Trainer's XY Collection." The product is a new box set featuring a collection of rare Pokemon cards. The set is based on some of the most popular cards coming from the XY series of the Trading Card Game.

The highlights of the set, however, are 14 full-art holographic cards that are tournament-ready. The special promo cards showcase some of the most popular TCG cards that were recently released such as veltal-EX, Jirachi, and Shaymin-EX, to name a few.

"These full-art Pokémon and Trainer cards are not only beautiful collector's items—they're also powerful," wrote The Pokemon Company. Moreover, the developers also confirmed that the box set also comes with other amazing assemblies of accessories that include "a metal Pikachu coin, two sets of card sleeves featuring Xerneas and Yveltal, two sets of tournament-ready dice."

As a bonus, those who will purchase the box set will also get two Pokemon TCG booster packs under the XY Series.

Meanwhile, Gamespot noted that the "Premium Trainer's XY Collection" is the largest player set in the history of TCG. In addition, purchasers will also receive a Pokemon TCG Online code card plus a kickstand-style box where all of the items can be stored.

"The Premium Trainer's XY Collection" will launch on Oct. 20, and it will be available stores that are hosting the pre-release tournaments for the "Pokemon Sun and Moon: Crimson Invasion"

In other Pokemon news, a New 2DS XL Nintendo with Pokemon-themed hints and design is set for release on Nov. 3. The handheld console will sport a design patterned after the famous Poke Ball. It becomes available two weeks before the official release of the "Pokemon Ultra Sun" and "Pokemon Ultra Moon" on Nov. 17.
