'Real Housewives of New York' Star Ramona Singer's Divorce Gets Ugly as Husband Mario Allegedly Contests Real Estate

Ramona Singer's divorce battle is getting messy as her husband, Mario, is reportedly going after everything that they own.

"Mario is trying to take Ramona for everything she worked so hard to achieve," said an insider to Radar Online. "Ramona earned a lot of money and he's going after it."

Mario is also reportedly going after the Southampton home and the New York City apartment the couple owned while they were still married.

"Ramona also paid for the majority of the New York apartment," the insider adds. "And that's all the real estate that they own."

Rumors first swirled that their marriage was in trouble back in 2013, when it was rumored that Mario was having an affair. At the time, the reality star denied that there was anything wrong in their marriage.

But "Millionaire Matchmaker" Patti Stanger claimed that she actually witnessed the first night the businessman, 60, met his mistress, fitness trainer Kasey Dexter. Stanger also said that Singer's nemesis, Jill Zarin, was with her the night she saw Mario.

"I was there the night he cheated," said Stanger to Andy Cohen on "Watch What Happens Live" last March. "Me and Jill in the Hamptons. I saw the whole thing go down."

"I saw him pick the girl, at a certain person's house you probably know, and it was a big dinner party and we just came for dessert," Stanger recalled. "I watched this, and I was like sober and everybody else wasn't, and I went, 'What is going on here?' And then I was worried for Ramona. I was really worried for her."

Singer finally filed for divorce in August 2014. The reality star took to social media that month and tweeted, "I tried to make my marriage work."
