Rihanna Engaged? Father Supports Chris Brown Wedding

Rihanna and Chris Brown have been at the center of engagement rumors following Brown's split from Karrueche Tran. Now, the Bajan singer's father has fueled the speculation by admitting that he is looking forward to a future wedding.

Ronald Fenty, who has openly supported reconciliation between the exes, has forgiven Brown, 23, for the 2009 domestic assault incident involving his daughter, and he confirmed that he has no objections to the pair walking down the aisle.

"Whatever makes her happy. I hope one day she will get married. Everyone adores Chris; he's a super guy," Fenty told Life & Style magazine.

"The family loved Chris Brown before they even met him. I always thought he was extremely talented. He always gave me great respect," he went on.

Rihanna, 24, ended her relationship with Brown in 2009 following the assault incident, but the pair has been photographed spending quality time together in recent weeks, fueling reports that they are dating again.

Brown, who dated Tran for two years, confirmed that he ended their relationship with the 24-year-old model over Rihanna following reports that the Grammy Award-winning singers were caught kissing in a New York City nightclub. Their public displays of affection have now sparked engagement rumors.

"No one close to them would be a bit shocked if they suddenly eloped. Rihanna has told her close friends point blank- 'I would marry Chris,'" a source reportedly told Star magazine.

"She even says she would have never left him if the media scrutiny didn't get so bad. They're passionate, and when they're drunk, they've both made many comments about getting married," the unnamed source went on.

On Sept. 6, Rihanna and Brown stunned their fans when they openly kissed at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards as Brown congratulated Rihanna on winning a VMA award. Just days prior, Brown was photographed with Rihanna enjoying Jay-Z's concert at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

"I still love him. We're very, very close friends. We built a trust again and that's it. We love each other and we probably always will," Rihanna told talk show host Oprah Winfrey in August.

"I think he was the love of my life. He was the first love and I see that he loved me the same way. We were very young and very spontaneous. We ran free. We ran wild. We were falling in love going in at a really rapid pace and we forgot about ourselves as individuals," she went on.
