Rihanna Tweets Chris Brown Ahead of His Court Appearance

Rihanna tweeted Chris Brown ahead of his recent court appearance, and her words of encouragement have been perceived by some as confirmation that they have reconciled.

Brown, 23, returned to court for his probation hearing for the first time in over a year on Monday in his 2009 domestic assault case involving Rihanna, 24. The Bajan singer took to Twitter where she posted a series of heartfelt tweets, one of which was specifically directed at Brown.

"@chrisbrown I'm praying for you and wishing u the best today!" Rihanna tweeted on Sept. 24, to which Brown responded "Thank u so much."

Earlier she had sent a more intimate tweet with a reference to her "baby," which critics suspect was also aimed at Brown.

"Praying for you baby, my best wishes are with you today! Remember that whatever God does in our lives, it is WELL DONE!!! #1Love," she tweeted.

Brown appeared before Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg for a probation progress report hearing and despite failing a drug test- he tested positive for marijuana- she did not revoke his probation, according to TMZ.com.

The Grammy award-winning singer failed the drug test on June 18 in Virginia, where he has been completing his court-ordered six months of community service sentence. Brown reportedly told his probation officer that although the drug test was conducted in the state of Virginia, he actually smoked marijuana in the state of California, where he allegedly has a medical marijuana prescription.

Schnegg simply gave Brown a verbal warning to obey the law, but ordered him to meet with his probation officer within three days to resolve a discrepancy regarding the number of community service hours that he had actually completed.

Deputy District Attorney Mary Murray of the Los Angeles District Attorney's office raised questions about Brown's community service hours in July 2012, which prompted an audit. Brown's attorney, Mark Geragos, argued that his client had completed far more community service hours than Murray claims.

On Sept. 6, Brown stunned fans at the Video Music Awards show in Los Angeles where he congratulated Rihanna with a public kiss after she won the award for Best Video Of The Year.

The couple dated for two years before breaking up in 2009 following the assault incident. They have since fueled reports of a reconciliation by recording a song together, kissing in public, and hanging out at the same locations.
