'Rise Of The Tomb Raider' Shows Lara Croft Surviving Snowy Siberia In Trailer Named 'Woman vs Wild'

The first trailer of Lara Croft's "Rise of the Tomb Raider" game is titled "Woman vs. Wild" and it has Lara trying to survive in the harsh environments of Siberia, hunting animals for food and upgrading her weapons until she reaches Kitezh and faces the deadly Trinity who are also searching for the secret to immortality.

The "Tomb Raider" reboot started off with Lara discovering secrets and protecting treasures that should not fall into the wrong hands. Similarly, in "Rise of the Tomb Raider," Lara has to reach the city of Kitezh to find the secret of immortality and prevent the secret from getting into the hands of a dreaded organisation called Trinity.

Before she can reach Kitezh, she is separated from her partner, Jonah, because of an avalanche. She is now adrift in snowy Siberia with no supplies. She will have to depend on herself and use her skills and wit to stay safe from animals like bears, wolves, and leopards.

The "Woman vs. Wild" trailer shows how Lara has to upgrade her weapons and ammunition at regular intervals, how she has to hunt the animals like the bears so she can use their pelts to keep her warm and their meat to keep her from starvation.

Along with this, she has to collect weapons that will help her fight the dreaded Trinity.

The trailer also has Lara coming across the "Rise of the Tomb Raider's" hubs. As compared to the previous "Tomb Raider," these hubs are much larger. Known as Remnants, these will be inhabited by NPCs (Non-Playable Characters).

Lara will have to make friends with the NPCs, trying to find whom she can trust. She has to win their trust by working alongside them and trying to complete the tasks allotted to her. If she completes these tasks, the NPCs will help her in her mission. The new characters will lead her to new places, items and abilities if she connects with them.

Once Lara comes face to face with the Trinity, the action shifts from survival to action sequences that are full of guerrilla combats and tomb-raiding expeditions.

"Rise Of The Tomb Raiders" will release on Nov. 10 for Xbox One and Xbox 360 while players of PlayStation 4 and Windows PC will get the game next year.
