'Sabrina the Teenage Witch' Series News: Show's Reboot Marred by Politics, Says Melissa Joan Hart

Is the '90s hit television series "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" having a reboot? Reading between the lines of Melissa Joan Hart, who played the titular role in the series, fans of the series may have a reason to look forward to a rehashed version of the magical witch for today's generation of teenagers.

With the recent announcements of one reboot to another, Hart was asked during her guesting on the American show "FabLife" on the possibility of a reboot for "Sabrina the Teenage Witch."

"I'm going to a meeting after this," was the reply of Hart, but that terse statement was enough to send the audience screaming in excitement. Realizing that she gave an answer that caused a premature celebratory mood, Hart backtracked and went on to clarify that she was merely referring to a meeting and nothing else.

"No, no. There's absolutely nothing—it's a meeting. Hold on. Take a step back," she said as she tried to douse the excitement of the audience.

However, Hart went on to explain that the planned reboot on "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" is far from accomplishing anything at this point in time, thanks to the politics involved in the process.

"They're throwing around Clarissa and Sabrina ideas, but it depends on who's going to give up rights, who's going to do it, how's it going to be done," Hart revealed.

Despite the uncertainty on a "Sabrina" reboot, there is no denying that Hart's revelations were enough to fuel the excitement of the fans. If the planned reboot pushes through, indeed, "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" will join the roster of upcoming shows from the '90s that will be resurrected, including another "good-witch" centered '90s series, "Charmed." No less than one of its original cast members, Alyssa Milano, confirmed this news.

However, the reboot will feature a new set of cast, contrary to what its cult following has hoped for.

If both "Sabrina The Teenage Witch" and "Charmed" get a reboot, television will surely have bewitching moments once more.
