Samsung Galaxy Nexus Release Date: Accessories Reach Verizon Stores, More Info Leaked

If you are going to snap up the Samsung Galaxy Nexus you’ll want to be updated and prepared with accessories to go along with your new Android smartphone.

Though Verizon has not officially confirmed the release date of the Galaxy Nexus the company outlets are already receiving accessories ahead of the phone.

Photos surfaced online showing off the accessories for the new Samsung device, which includes a shell/holster combo with kickstand and a silicone cover.

Verizon Wireless is offering updates through email to consumers who sign up for more information on its website to be the first to get the new smartphone.

“A new Android phone coming to Verizon Wireless,” said the company in the informative email.

Suggested release dates include Nov. 21 or anytime during or after the Black Friday weekend on Verizon Wireless; however there is still no official launch date in the U.S.

In U.K., the Galaxy Nexus is set to go on sale next week Nov. 17, according to Geeky Gadgets.

The phone presents some unique features such as: facial recognition application that allows users to unlock the Galaxy Nexus by simply smiling and an HD Super AMOLED display 720p (1280x720), which provides “vivid colors and excellent picture clarity.”

Rounded design of the phone measures just 8.94 thick, according to media reports.

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus is expected by many to be the smartphone that will be an “iPhone Killer.”
