Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Rumors: Details of Upcoming Android Phablet Leaked?

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 announcement date may be a few months away, but that does not mean that there are no details about the manufacturer's upcoming Android phablet.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the upcoming Android smartphone will be among Samsung's most powerful devices to date. Based on leaks from sources online, the Galaxy Note 5 will allegedly boast a 5.67-inch Super AMOLED display that has a QHD or 2K (2560 x 1440) resolution. Previous rumors claim that the Note 5 would get a bigger screen, but Samsung probably went for a smaller one.

In addition, the phablet would reportedly boast another in-house chipset from Samsung, this time an Exynos 7422 SoC, which reportedly has built-in cellular modems, unlike the Exynos 7420 of the Galaxy S6.

Other rumored specs include 3GB or 4GB of RAM, several storage options, and a 4,100mAh battery. Unfortunately, there is no word yet whether there will be a microSD card slot on board. Previous devices from Samsung do not have microSD slots, although they come in a number of built-in storage options.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is expected to make an appearance at Samsung's press event at the IFA showcase in Berlin in September. Aside from the Note 5, another high-end Samsung device that should be unveiled is the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, which is a simply a Note version of the S6 Edge.
