Samsung Galaxy S6 Plus Rumors, Specs: Rumored Device Tipped to Be Named 'S6 Note'

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is due in September at the IFA event in Berlin, just like what the Korean manufacturer has done so in recent years. However, it looks like a new kid on the block will be making its way to get the attention of the Note's target market.

According to a recent report by GSM Arena, the rumored Galaxy S6 Plus, which has been appearing in rumors and reports these past week, will actually bear a new brand name. That brand name is rumored to be the Galaxy S6 Note.

To make things even more interesting, the report mentioned that Samsung has even filed for a patent recently in order for competitors from taking the brand name. Another speculation in the report is that Samsung may just be placing the S6 Note brand name in place of the more popular Project Zero 2.

The Project Zero 2 is a rumored device that will reportedly follow the footsteps of the Galaxy S6. But considering the smartphone's rumored 5.7-inch display, it would most probably be a phablet version of the current flagship, thus uniting the Galaxy S and Galaxy Note lineup features.

In the report, the Android-powered smartphone is tipped to come with Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box, and will boast the same curved edge features of the S6 Edge. The device is expected to make an appearance between July up to September, just before the next-generation Galaxy Note 5 is announced.
