Samsung Z3 certified by FCC, release date to be announced

Samsung isn't stepping the brakes in bringing new devices to the market. In fact, even with the right and left launches of their flagship smartphones, they have been busy with Z3, the successor of their first ever Tizen OS powered Z1.

According to Softpedia, the said smartphone has already been introduced by Samsung. Exact details as to when it will be released has not been confirmed yet. But it has been reported that Samsung Z3 has been already certified at the FCC (Federal Communications Commission), the independent regulatory authority for the telecommunications market. This means that the waiting for its launching will not be too long.

A leaked photo of the Z3 positioned side-by-side to its predecessor Z1 was posted in Twitter by technology community blog Tizen Café. Through the snapshot, it can be clearly seen that Samsung Z3 will be much bigger in size compared to Z1 which has a small 4-inch display and released early this year. GSM Arena reports that the smartphone will come with a 5-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution.

It is said to carry a Qualcomm MSM8916 Snapdragon 410 chip and will run with company's latest proprietary Tizen v3.0 OS, which is the device's asset as many of Samsung's devices run on Android. It will be backed by 1.3GHz Spreadtrum (SC7730S) quad-core processor, 1.5GB RAM and 8GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 64GB via microSD card slot. Aside from that, it will sport a 5MP primary camera and 2MP secondary camera. It will also be a dual sim handset and will carry a 2600 mAh battery. The Z3 will also offer 3G, Wi-Fi connectivity and Bluetooth.

As reported by SamMobile, Samsung plans to release the handset for consumers in India, Bangladesh and Nepal. Further details about Z3's release is still scant so interested buyers will have to wait for more updates.
