In the second game of their three-match series, the Baltimore Orioles try to bounce back as they face the Seattle Mariners at the Camden Yards in Major League Baseball. The matchup is on May 18, 2016 at 7:05 PM ET.
It is a battle of two of the top teams in the American League as the Orioles continue to lead the AL – East with a 23-14 record while the Mariners are at the top of the AL – West with a 22-16 pip so far in the series.
However, looking at the first game between the two, it would seem that the Orioles are struggling team and were thoroughly beat by a better squad.
In their first game, many expected the match to be tight as both were still doing relatively well in the league despite coming off losses in their last series.
However, it was clear early that the Mariners did not intend to continue losing as Nelson Cruz hit a single to help Seth Smith and Robinson Cano score in the first inning.
Baltimore could not answer and by the fifth inning, they would see more of the same suspects to help grow Seattle's lead.
Cano hit a single that allowed Nori Aoki to score while bringing Seth Smith to second base.
Cruz would then hit a single that gave Smith the chance to score and Cano positioning to third before Kyle Seager hit a 393-foot home run that made Cano and Cruz score making the game 7-0.
The domination was not over from there as the sixth inning welcomed back Cano, Smith and Cruz as Cano's double helped Smith score to make it 8-0 before Cruz hit a home run to allow himself and Cano to run towards home plate to make it the final score of 10-0.
Baltimore need to desperately regroup or risk getting run over again. To get live streaming, click here.
