Seth Meyers Marries Alexi Ashe: 'They Are So In Love'

"Saturday Night Live's" Seth Meyers had a rather important weekend update of his own this holiday weekend, as the comedian married his girlfriend Alexi Ashe on Sunday, Sept 1.

The ceremony took place at Martha's Vineyard and included a small gathering of friends and family, according to People magazine.

"They are so in love and really excited for their big day. They [were] really happy to celebrate their big day with all their close friends and family," a source told the magazine.

It is fair to assume that the wedding ceremony was full of charm and perhaps more than unique, especially considering that the proposal itself was quite charming and unique itself. Meyers had previously explained how he had purposed.

"I tied [the ring] in a bow around our dog's collar," Meyers said. It was perhaps a more difficult way to purpose than the average down on one knee proposal.

"I just had to sit there looking at the dog. I was like, 'The dog's going to eat the ring!'" Myers said.

Of those in attendance were many of Meyer's current and former "Saturday Night Live" castmates. Andy Samberg, Jason Sudeikis, Kristen Wiig, Amy Poehler, Fred Armisen, Will Forte, Taran Killam, Rashida Jones, and Bill Heder will all in attendance, according to People. Longtime comedy legend Lorne Michaels was also there.

Seth Meyers is currently the head writer for NBC's "Saturday Night Live" and he hosts the shows comedic news segment "Weekend Update." Myers is slated to take over for Jimmy Fallon and host the "Late Night" in 2014, according to Hollywood LIfe.
