'Shades of Blue' Season 2 News: JLo's Co-Star Ray Liotta Shares Enthusiasm for Show's Upcoming Season
Despite the mostly average reviews it earned from critics and fans alike, NBC's hit police procedural drama TV series "Shades of Blue" pushes on for a second season and the cast members themselves are quite pumped to see the show return to the small screen.
In an interview, actor Ray Liotta told The Hollywood Reporter that he's already "looking forward to seeing where they're gonna go next season," in the show. He went on to tell the publication that despite his lengthy career in the show business, he feels that he still has a lot to prove.
"I still feel like I haven't gotten my shot," he told THR. "I still have so much more I want to do."

In the same article, the 61-year-old, who plays the role of Lt. Michael Wozniak, talked about the NBC series from its beginning.
"I read the script and there were a few surprises in there that really blew my mind... I was serious as a heart attack about making it as real as a series could be," the father of one said.
His character happens to be a solid foundation for Jennifer Lopez's alter-ego, Harlee Santos.
Speaking about his co-star, Liotta further revealed that the network wanted the singer-actress to be paired with actors known for playing "edgier, intense kind of parts." This would be to offset Lopez who is more famous for her romantic comedy roles.
Eventually, the two stars hit it off and their chemistry seems to be perfect on and off the camera.
For the uninitiated, the show is a brain child of Adi Hasak and premiered on January 14, 2016. Santos, a struggling single mother of one, is a detective working for the NYPD and later on forced to become an FBI informant. Wozniak is a corrupt precinct head and at the same time, a close friend to Santos.
"Shades of Blue" Season 2 is slated to premiere sometime his year on NBC.
